📋 About This Mod
## Lootable Zombie Corpse – Perk-Based Progression Update
Zombie corpse looting is now part of a balanced perk progression system instead of being available automatically. To loot dead zombies, open the Fortitude skill tree, find the Corpse Research category, and purchase Corpse Scavenging Rank 1. Without this perk, zombie corpses cannot be searched.
### Corpse Scavenging
Corpse Scavenging is the first and mandatory perk in the new branch.
- Rank 1: Unlocks zombie corpse looting.
- Rank 2: Adds +3% effective Loot Stage to corpse loot.
- Rank 3: Adds +6% effective Loot Stage.
- Rank 4: Adds +10% effective Loot Stage.
- Rank 5: Adds a maximum of +15% effective Loot Stage.
These bonuses apply only when corpse loot is generated. Regular containers, safes and POI reward chests are unaffected. Your game stage, biome, loot stage and item-level requirements remain important, so a low-level character cannot easily obtain end-game equipment by investing in this perk.
### Corpse Awareness
Corpse Awareness unlocks nearby corpse status markers:
- Rank 1: Shows unsearched corpses with a yellow `?` within 3 metres.
- Rank 2: Also shows partially looted corpses with an orange `!` within 5 metres.
- Rank 3: Also shows empty corpses with a grey `X` within 7 metres.
These markers appear directly on the corpse and can be individually disabled or adjusted through `ModSettings.xml`.
### Anatomy and Zombie Parts
The Anatomy perk improves your ability to recover useful zombie organs. Zombies can provide:
- Zombie Brains
- Zombie Hearts
- Zombie Eyes
Higher Anatomy ranks improve organ discovery and harvesting by 10%, 20%, 35%, 50% and 75%. These bonuses affect only zombie organs and do not improve ordinary equipment loot.
At Anatomy Rank 3, you unlock the Zombie Antidote recipe. It requires a Brain, Heart, Eye, Boiled Water and Honey. The Antidote cures 50% infection, restores health, provides temporary health and stamina regeneration, grants 5% damage resistance and cures concussion. Its side effect is a loss of 30 Hydration.
Collected organs can also be delivered through repeatable trader specimen contracts for controlled XP and Duke rewards.
### Scavenger Rush
Scavenger Rush is now a dedicated three-rank perk and will not activate until the first rank is purchased.
Killing zombies adds time based on enemy strength. Normal zombies provide a short duration, while Feral, Radiated, Charged, Infernal and boss enemies provide increasingly longer bonuses.
- Rank 1: 120-second maximum duration and +5% Loot Quantity.
- Rank 2: 300-second maximum duration and +10% Loot Quantity.
- Rank 3: 468-second maximum duration and +15% Loot Quantity.
The effect stacks with additional kills but cannot exceed the limit of your current perk rank. Reaching the strongest version requires significant Fortitude and Corpse Scavenging investment.
This progression makes corpse looting rewarding without replacing normal survival, exploration or game-stage progression. Requires 0_TFP_Harmony and must be played with EAC disabled.
