Overview

The Flatlander's Combat Sandbox (FCS) mod provides weapon- and combat-related fixes, tweaks and enhancements for 7 Days To Die 3. 0 and IZY Classic. Settings are managed exclusively through the Gears mod interface.

FCS is a continuation of Flatlander's Fixes and Tweaks for IZY-All in One Gun Pack v5. 1. 3.

Mod Settings (Gears)

To access and change the mod's settings:

• []Click MODS in the main menu.[/]

  []Click Flatlander's Combat Sandbox mod entry in the left-hand panel.[/]

  []Choose your preferred settings in the central panel. Click 'Apply' to save each modification. Most modifications require a full game restart.[/]

  []Hover with the cursor over the toggles to display additional information in the right-hand panel.[/]

  Important

  • []Remember to click Apply after changing the settings.[/]

    []Change settings before loading your save.[/]

    []Click 'Defaults', then 'Apply' to restore the settings to their default values.[/]

    Available Settings

    Settings are organized thematically by tabs.

    In the 1. Weapon Packs tab you can:

    • []Disable the custom weapon models for the vanilla weapons.[/]

      []Choose the sounds to use with vanilla weapons.[/]

      []Disable each individual weapon pack.[/]

      In the 2. Kick Attack tab you can enable and disable the kick attack for each selected weapon and tool category.

      In the 3. T4/T5 Weapons tab you can:

      • []Disable the crafting of T4 weapons.[/]

        []Decrease or increase the quantity of Legendary parts required to craft T4 weapons.[/]

        []Disable the repair of T4/T5 weapons.[/]

        []Enable a recipe for the Advanced Repair Kit that does not require Legendary Parts.[/]

        []Increase the degradation rate of T4/T5 weapons.[/]

        []Remove T4/T4 weapons from loot.[/]

        In the 4. Looting tab you can:

        • []Select which IGP handguns can be found in toilets and similar containers.[/]

          []Increase the odds of finding common T1 and T2 weapons in logical places.[/]

          []Remove T0 and T-1 weapons from loot.[/]

          In the 5. Challenges tab you can:

          • []Choose to play with Pacifist Traders who will not sell you weapons and related items, who will not  buy from you these weapons and related items or who will not offer you weapons, ammo and related items in quest rewards.[/]

            []Disable the crafting of selected weapons and other offensive items.[/]

            []Disable the repair of T0-T3 weapons.[/]

            []Increase the degradation rate of T0-T3 weapons.[/]

            In the 6. Misc. Options tab you can:

            • []Configure various options for specific weapons and weapon mods.[/]

              []Enable ammo reboxing recipes.[/]

              []Enable the unlocking of IGP special ammo recipes using perk books.[/]

              Requirements

              • []Gears 7. 0. 0 or later,[/]

                []Quartz 8. 0. 1 or later,[/]

                []7 Days to Die v3. 0. The mod is not compatible with 7 Days to Die v2. 6.[/]

                Manual installation

                • []Download the mod file.[/]

                  []Unzip it anywhere on your hard drive.[/]

                  []Copy the zzzCombatSandboxFLTR folder to the 7 Days to Die Mods folder. The default location is %APPDATA%\7DaysToDie\Mods.[/]

                  []If you are updating the mod from a previous version, delete the folder with the old version.[/]

                  []The mod must load after all the IZY Classic mods, patches and extensions.[/]

                  []Download and install the required Gears and Quartz mods.[/]

                  Important notes

                  • []The 3. 0. 1. 0. 0 version of the mod is designed to work with the IZY Classic mod released on 2026-07-16. NO OTHER VERSION WILL BE SUPPORTED.[/]

                    []Do not bother Izayo with questions regarding this mod.[/]

                    []Adding the mod to an existing save is probably safe, but you should always make a backup of your game save.[/]

                    []Removing the mod is probably safe, but you should always make a backup of your game save.[/]

                    []If you change the settings through the Gears interface, you must reload the game for the changes to take effect.[/]
