007 First Light Toolkit — Blender Addon

A complete modding toolkit for 007 First Light (Glacier 2 / KNT engine) built directly into Blender. Import the game's character models and environments, rebuild their materials to look correct in your viewport, swap textures, reshape meshes, and export everything back as game-ready files, all without leaving Blender or using a hex editor.

Supported: Blender 4. 2 and newer (tested on 5. 1)

What It Does

Import & Export

- Import `.prim` (model mesh) and `.borg` (skeleton/rig) files with full skin weights and shape keys

- Export reshaped meshes back to game-valid `.prim` with rebuilt metadata

- Four export presets: Full Model + Edits, Texture Replacement, Textures Only, Mesh Only

- Load materials from imported models, scan folders, or single files

- Resolve friendly names from IOI paths instead of showing raw hashes

- Edit texture slots and material parameters, then write changes back to the game format

- Rebuild materials from scratch or swap material references wholesale

One-Click Render Materials

- Reconstruct the game's skin shader as a native Blender material — a similar node graph the engine uses

- Basecolor, roughness/specular/metallic, normal maps, and translucency all wired correctly

- Material parameters become labelled nodes you can tweak and see live in the viewport

Native Texture Pipeline

- Decode `. TEXT` / `. TEXD` files (BC1, BC3, BC4, BC5, BC7) directly to PNG or TGA — no external tools, no Oodle

- Re-encode edited images back to the game format with proper compression

- Auto-detect texture formats; even standalone `. TEXD` files decode on their own

- Generate missing `. TEXT` files from images when you only have the full-res mips

- Textures are always written under their correct, separate game hashes (the exporter enforces distinct TEXT/TEXD pairs)

- Safe reshaping: move vertices freely, keep the vertex count the same, and the mesh stays in-game compatible

- Level of detail switching — step through LODs in the viewport or jump to full detail

- Experimental custom topology for unskinned props

Search Folder on Export

- Point the export dialogue at your texture directories (in case it's not found by the import)

- The exporter searches every sub-folder to find each texture's paired `. TEXT`/`. TEXD` and reads their metadata

- Guarantees correct hash pairing even when files are nested or when you're replacing with a new image

Built by Me, Idekwtp, with help from the Glacier Modding Community. Reverse-engineered from the game engine's actual material, texture, and mesh formats. There are no dependencies beyond Blender itself.
