Legend Retry - Retry on Legend Difficulty

Legend Retry allows you to use Try Again after a Game Over on Legend difficulty in Yakuza Kiwami.

By default, Legend difficulty disables the normal retry option. This mod restores that functionality while keeping the game on Legend difficulty.

The patch is applied at runtime through an ASI plugin, so YakuzaKiwami.exe is not permanently modified.

  Installation

  If you are using a compatible Yakuza mod manager, no separate ASI loader is required.

  1. Create a folder for this mod inside your mods folder.

  For example:

  └─ LegendRetry/

  └─ YKLegendRetry.asi

  2. Place YKLegendRetry.asi inside that folder.

  3. Start the game normally through your usual mod setup.

  If you are not using a mod manager that supports ASI plugins, you can alternatively use a compatible x64 ASI loader.

  Uninstallation

  Delete the mod folder containing:

  YKLegendRetry.asi

  No executable restoration is required because the mod only applies its changes in memory.

  Compatibility

  The mod only patches the Game Over / retry logic related to Legend difficulty.

  It does not modify combat movesets, Heat Actions, battle styles, player input, character models, or other gameplay data.

  Compatibility with every executable-level mod cannot be guaranteed.

  Confirmed working on Legend difficulty.

  After losing a battle, the Try Again option appears correctly and can be selected.
