Yakuza 4 Ultimate Custom Battles

A sequel to Yakuza 3 Ultimate Custom Battles, this time, twice as big and ten times better!

Ever wanted a harder challenge out of Yakuza 4's Ultimate Battles? Ever thought the fights were a little too bland? Well, with this simple mod all of that changes... The Ultimate Custom Battles mod looks to completely overhaul and redesign the final 5 Ultimate Matches of Yakuza 4 with new fights, locations, music, outfits, and heat actions/QTEs. Encounter villains from other entries in the series, friends turned foes, wacky opponents, and even a devilish cameo or two. Comes with an optional mod that changes the outfits of the characters into more fittingly silly attire.

KNOWN ISSUES

MOD DOES NOT WORK WITH ANY MOVESET MODS. DO NOT USE ANY MOVESET MODS ALONG SIDE ULTIMATE CUSTOM BATTLES!!!

KEEP IN MIND YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO PLAY THROUGH THE STORY WITH THIS MOD ON.

STRAIGHT TO MENU WILL ALSO BREAK THE MOD. PLEASE DISABLE IT BEFORE INSTALLING ULTIMATE CUSTOM BATTLES.

1. If you're a Windows 11 user, mod will take a long time to load (around 5 minutes) because of bug in Shin Ryu Mod Manager.

(Game will run in the background until it boots up)

2. In some stages player and enemy will clip through the geometry during heat actions, that cannot be fixed due to inability to edit collisions.

3. You cannot perform wall heat actions in some areas because of the same reason in issue number two.

4. Some QTEs in the mod don't fail unless you press a wrong button due to unknown bug.

5. Custom Kiryu heat action which comes with the costume add-on sometimes can play longer than it should, no clue why it happens.

6. Sometimes, some enemies in fights with more than 5 characters (protagonist included) will not have voice banks because of engine limitation.

HOW TO INSTALL?

1. Download Shin Ryu Mod Manager from Nexusmods or Github

2. Locate your Yakuza 4 installation folder

3. Unpack Shin Ryu Mod Manager files at the same place as Yakuza 4.exe

4. Create "mods" folder or boot up SRMM for it to make one

5. Open archive of the mod and put Ultimate Custom Battles 4 folder in "mods" (same goes for outfit add-ons)

Make sure path is mods "Yakuza 4\mods\Ultimate Custom Battles 4" and not anything else!
