Improved PS3 Quickstep (1.03)

July 10th 2026 update: I think I've done all I could possibly do. I don't think I'll be able to fully fix the quickstep

This mod attempts to build upon the 'Quickstep Restoration' mod by Lambda Core (thank you!!!) by fixing its issues such as the invincibility period and the lacking sharp turn of Kiryu's Quickstep. (note: this mod only modifies the vanilla version and has completely different values compared to 'Quickstep Restoration')

This is merely an assumption on what caused this issue, so correct me if I'm wrong, but because of how the StartFrame values in Property 3 (?) within the sway .json files were quadrupled (1 -> 4) in the Quickstep Restoration mod, quickstepping would make you vulnerable to damage sources until a couple frames passed. This would be an issue in many scenarios, especially when facing couch and gun enemies. This is now fixed, so gone are the days of having to awkwardly time quicksteps to dodge attacks.

I advise you either create a backup of your current property.bin file or Shin Ryu Mod Manager to have a way to go back.

I recommend using this alongside the 'Yakuza 3 HeatFix' mod!
