Stun Rifle Range Mod for LWR

This is a very simple mod to enable you to adjust the range of the Stun Rifle. This is based on the Arc Thrower Range v1. 1 by epiceuropean, which is compatible with Long War but, to the best of my knowledge, is not compatible with Long War Rebalance (version 1. 25.xx and up). I simply make a small modification to the original mod to make it compatible with LWR.

Purpose of the mod:

To enable user to adjust stun rifle range from the default range of 4.

Requirements:

XCOM Enemy Unknown with legacy (1. 25.xx - 1. 28.xx) Long War Rebalance installed.

How to use it:

• []Install the mod using PatcherGUI

  []After installation, go to your DGC.ini (or XComGameCore.ini), find the Weapons= entry for Stun Rifle and modify the iRange= value. For comparison, pistols have iRange=30 and medikits have iRange=3.

  []Play the game! If you increase the value of iRange, your soldier will now be able to shoot the stun rifle at longer ranges.

  Caveats:

  • []This mod is not compatible with older versions of LWR. Use epiceuropean's original mod instead: https://www.nexusmods.com/xcom/mods/630

    []Users have reported that this mod is not compatible with series 1. 29.xx of LWR (and possibly newer).

    []This mod has not been tested with 1. 27.xx series of LWR, so I cannot guarantee compatibility with this series. However, users have reported that it works with versions 1. 26.xx - 1. 28.xx.

    []You will most likely need to re-apply the mod when you upgrade LWR to a newer version.

    []This mod does not change your soldier's chance to stun an alien. As before, weaken the aliens first before trying to stun them.
