📋 About This Mod
"You ever listen to Κ-Billy's Super Sounds of the '70s?"Well, I don't know why we came here tonight, I got the feeling the something ain't right, I'm so scared in case I fail my will check, and I'm wondering how we'll get down to the
A collab!
Today, to celebrate Mr. Madsen's birthday, PsyCHo and I bring you this voicepack! And yeah, all of this was singlehandedly possible thanks to PsyCHo, whom already released his version of the mod for Xcom 2!
And, while you're at it, check his other stuff, cause he constantly puts up new stuff, usually the kind stuff you wouldn't expect!
"But can he brawl?"
Now this one is a chunker, we're talking resources from like 7 games were used to create this big boy, so you better like him!
Michael "Finn" O'Leary from Black Ops II's Mob of the Dead
Mr. Blonde from that one Reservoir Dogs game
William Carver from Telltale's The Walking Dead Season 2
Daud from Dishonored 1 AND Death of the Outsider
Tony Kipria-I mean Cipriani from Grand Theft Auto III
Futoshi Shimano from the English dub of Yakuza 1 (or what I was able to salvage from it, considering it's a ps2 game and extracting those can be funky).
Couple of those games' files also include what I could salvage from cutscenes, when the bg music and sfx wasn't that noticeable... I hope.
Ah, yeah, I also included a decent bunch of lines from Reservoir Dogs...the movie! I'd like to imagine the tone/quality difference ain't that noticeable, or that at least thou whom shall notice will fanboy/girl the hell out of it not to complain...cause I ain't getting rid of those!
So, if my maths are right, then we're looking at around 2500 lines that could play during missions! Ain't that cool?
Check him out!
Not convinced yet? Then give this a listen!

Installation for Long War users:
1) To install...go to XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW\XComGame\CookedPCConsole, create a folder named "Voice" if you need it, and place the first folder that came inside the .rar file.
2) Then go to XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW\XComGame\Config, open DefaultContent, then press ctrl + f / ctrl + b (one of 'em should work), and search for eCharVoice_FemaleBlueshirt1. You'll end up with a highlighted line that will look a little bit like this: VoicePackageInfo=(VoiceType=eCharVoice_FemaleBlueshirt1,ArchetypeName="Voice_BSFVoice1. BSFVoice1").
3) Below it (or anywhere around the voicepacks section for that matter), you gotta place this voicepack's specific config line, here, let me show you how I currently have it:
; Michael Madsen (RUBY)
VoicePackageInfo=(VoiceType=eCharVoice_MaleSoldier4,Language=16,ArchetypeName="MaleVoice68_Canadian. Voice_MaleVoice68_Canadian")
Notes: see that "Language=X" part? Change it to whatever you see fit. From 0 to 6 it's the vanilla EW languages (English, Italian, French, Spanish, you know the drill).
If you, for example, want to have this vp in the British English section, you gotta change it into Language=7. Then you gotta change the "Voice_Male/FemaleSoldierX" into whatever you need. If you already have 3 male voices for British English, and you want to add another one, you'll have to have the new one as "Voice_MaleSoldier4,Language=7". Otherwise, if you have 2 that look the same there, one will "override" the other, and the game will detect one of them, instead of both. You gotta tidy up up them config lines if you download a buncha vps, ya' know!
You can have up to 9 voices in each "Language" for males, but only up to 6 with females, and 2 with MECs. If you go beyond that, the game will start overriding some of them, and you won't be able to use a couple of 'em. You just gotta try and label them as you see fit!
If the installation guide didn't made any sense to you, follow this guide:

Remember to paste this voicepack's specific config line!
Big thanks to ObelixDk for his lovely, lovely guide.
Installation for Vanilla EW users: check any of MJpoland's voicepacks for a guide, as I really, really don't know what to do with Vanilla EW!
