Long War BobAntiAbuser tweak for 1.0

Update : compatible with 1. 0 , added harder and easier versions of mod

Ah , Long War !

First of all , I love this mod ! For me , it's best mod out there for any game , period . Here comes the but : I really have developed some sort of Stockholm syndrom playing this mod , and never have I ever been so abused by a game and I love it and hate it at the same time .

If this is scenario that happens to you , you must install the tweaks in BobAntiAbuser :

1) you get destroyed during your first run 2) then , in subsequent tuns the situation is very similar to : you get to approximatly time for aegis armor and mech level 2 and then your elite soldiers start to die due to aliens hitting you with 15 or 17 damage without crits ?!

This situation is there beacause aliens GAIN DAMAGE with research . In my oppinion this is not a good thing at all . Aliens should not gain damage pure and simple and here is why : UNFAIR - aliens research shoud be counterweight to your soldier progression and your soldiers don't gain damage on levelup BREAKS IMMERSION - they always use the same guns and their damage goes up 50% in normal games by october , this breaks immersion ARMOR PROGRESSION- what is my motivation for developing better soldier armor when I die mostly from one shot , I get no sense of progression WEAPON PROGRESSION - same problem with sense of progression is in weapons . You get through so many battles to get , let's say , alloy weapons and ..... aliens get the same buff on their own

I have tried several tweaks of ini files in order to make my games more pleasurable for me and failed until i turned off damage gains for aliens. They already insanely outnumber you , they start with much more powerful technology , they gain perks , aim , crit chance , will , hitpoints ! in my opinion there is no need to buff them more . If you don't belive me , try it , it's save game compatible since aliens are generated before the mission .

Installation :

• install Long War B15bf3
• make the backup of defaultgamecore.ini
• Drop the file in   harddrive:\steam\steamapps\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW\XComGame\Config

Uninstallation :

- just restore original file
