Before You Report a Bug

If you see strange ship behavior, odd stats or missing equipment while using my patches, assume it's my mod's fault. Please leave a comment or bug report here, not with the original ship authors. I would rather track down the cause myself than cause them trouble. :)

What is This?

A set of helper mods that bring any ship mod into Vanilla, VRO or XRSGE with high-quality results.

Think of it as a polish pass for every ship mod out there: integration, fixes and cleanup.

  What Every Supported Ship Gets

  • []VRO balance from one algorithm: all ships share a single source of balance, so they stay consistent with each other. When VRO, a ship mod or X4 itself updates, I can rebuild the dataset and patches in minutes.[/]

    []Jobs integration: the AI builds every ship. Works with Vanilla, VRO, XRSGE and VRO+XRSGE.[/]

    []Full localization: AI-translated text for all ships and equipment in all 13 languages X4 supports.[/]

    []Betty voice: Every ship supported by my mods gets Betty Voice. Original ship has no Betty Voiceline? It does now. [/]

    []Correct ship icons and makerrace on every ship, so mods like Expanded Configuration Loader work.[/]

    []Consistent names: ships are renamed to follow X4 naming conventions. Variants are named Sentinel or Vanguard, upgraded variants get an E, and name clashes between mods get sorted out.[/]

    Quality and Modularity

    Mix and match any of these mods you want. The patches only edit what you actually have loaded, so missing ship mods add no extra jobs or scripts to your game.

    Every release goes through unit tests and validation checks before it reaches you. My patches may occasionally introduce a small bug, but they will never break your save.

    Mods and What They Do

    Vanilla compatible:

    Sukha_VRO_ShipClassExtender - Adds more ship classes. Works in Vanilla.

    Every ship name gets its class added, for example Signifer - BattleCruiser. Ships you build carry the class in their name too. The new classes use existing Egosoft icons.

    Sukha_jobspatch - Adds jobs for all supported ship mods. Works in Vanilla.

    sukha_nocustomengines - Removes overpowered engines and thrusters added by some ship mods. Works in Vanilla.

    sukha_noabandonedships - Removes abandoned ships added by the supported ship mods. Works in Vanilla.

    sukha_nocustomresearch - Removes all research added by the supported ship mods. Works in Vanilla.

    VRO specific:

    Sukha_VRO_Rebalancer - VRO balance for every 9. 0-ready ship mod (ship packs have their own patches below). No jobs changes.

    Install only the ships you want. Changes for missing ships are skipped safely and won't affect your save, though they can add a little load time.

    You don't need any other VRO patches. You can still use a ship's original VRO patch if you prefer its Power turrets or need its spawn scripts, but my balance values will override it.
