X4 Infinity

Introduction

This is a mod or an application that generates as much sectors as you want with a click of a button. X4 can now expand infinitely and with additional resources as well.  You can add one and add another one any time you want. It also allows you to create hundreds of sectors if you want all at once. The app generally generates sectors and adds them to your extensions folder. From version 2. 0. 0. 0 onwards, you can chose to have resources spawn in generated sectors.

Compatibility

• []You do not need any additional DLCs. All gates to the new sectors will be generated procedurally in vanilla sectors.[/]

  []This mod does not need a fresh start. You can add the new sectors to your existing saves. Like any other mod, if you save after a sector is generated and if you delete that sector after that, the save will not load.[/]

  []If you plan to generate massive amounts of sectors (e.g. 100+ sectors) in one go, it is recommended to start a fresh game.[/]

  []This should be compatible with all versions of X4 including Timelines and 7. 5 updates.[/]

  []Make sure you do not have any mod folder in the extensions folder that has the folder naming scheme like 'tlxx..' where the 'xx' s stand for numbers.[/]

  Installation

  Unzip and put the 'X4 Infinity' folder any where you want and run the x4_procedurally_generated_sectors.exe

  Usage 

  • []First input the number of sectors you want to add. (if you have already done so, you will see the number of 'Already Generated = xxx')[/]

    []Generate Sectors: This will first ask you where your extensions folder is located. You can also browse to that folder with the 'Browse Extension' button. It will then generate the sectors for you in the extensions folder.[/]

    []Browse Extension: Select the extensions folder for your X4 as this is where the sectors will be generated for you.[/]

    []Reset: This allows you to start generating sectors from 1. Make sure to delete all existing generated sectors (tl1,tl2, ...) from your extensions folder as well. This will give you a fresh start.[/]

    []About: If you ever want to get in touch.[/]

    []Randomize Resource: If it is checked alone, there is a 33. 3% chance that generated sectors will have resources in them (minerals, gases and scrap)[/]

    []Enable Resource For All: If it is checked (it does not matter that Randomize Resource is checked or not), there is a 100% chance that all generated sectors will have resources in them (minerals, gases and scrap)[/]
