Trade Ledger

Map Trade Ledger (MTL) adds a new Trade Ledger button to the Map’s right-side bar and opens a sticky popup with a clear, sortable overview of station trade offers.

The goal: Scan all opportunities to easily compare several offers from several visited stations.

Key Features

• - RightBar Map button to open the Trade Ledger-

  - Reliable sorting (asc/desc) for Price / Amount / Markup- Sort by: Station, Sector, Distance (jumps), Ware, Side, Price, Amount, Markup, Age (Stale or Live data)

  - Filters: Side (Buy/Sell), Sector, Ware, and Data mode- Data mode: Covered + Stale or Covered Only (Covered by Ships, Sattelites etc.)- Stale offers are clearly labeled as stale (Age column)- Best-effort distance display (jumps)

How to use

• - Open the Map and click Trade Ledger on the right bar below .

  - Use the dropdowns at the top to filter the list:

  - Reference sector: choose None or pick a sector (used for distance/jumps)

  - Data: toggle Covered + Stale vs Covered Only.- Side / Sector / Ware: narrow the results

- Click column headers to sort (click again to toggle ascending/descending).- Use < Prev / Next > to browse pages.

- Use the Refresh button to rescan trade data.

Interaction shortcuts

• - Click a Station to show it on the Map.

  - Click a Ware to open its Encyclopedia entry.- Click a Sector in the table to set it as the current Reference sector.

Notes / Limitations

• - Stale offers may have missing values (e.g. price/amount). The UI handles this safely and keeps sorting stable.

  - Distance/jumps are “best-effort” and depend on what the game exposes in your session/mod setup.- Paging is intentional: X4 UI contexts have a hard limit on button count.

Installation

• Install like any normal X4 extension (drop into your extensions folder or use a mod manager).

  Enable the extension, start the game, open Map, and look for the Trade Ledger button on the right bar.

Compatibility

• UI-only approach, designed to be lightweight and non-invasive.

  If other mods also inject into the Map right bar, load order may affect button placement.
