One morning I happened to look at the Egosoft discord only to see the following:

"5+ years still no trek mods

at this point i am just confused

there should have been at least one by now"

How fascinating, I thought, that while Star Wars fans have an entire full overhaul, no Star Trek fan has taken it upon themselves to learn

how to put a ship into X4! This seems an injustice. While I don't particularly love either franchise, I had just started learning to 3D model a few months ago, and something in the plaintive tone of this pitiable user's plight plucked a heartstring, so I did a bit of a search and discovered this poor user had been stricken by the lack of star Trek mods since 2019! with this hopeful plea:

"i would like a star trek mod but i am not going to demand it will happens when it happens"

dating from mid-2019.

Well, dear random user, it happens now.

Requirements and Compatibility

  []You can use it with VRO if you want! (Not officially supported).

  []I don't know why you'd want to, but it's not compatible with SW:I. Use at your own risk and solve your own problems, don't bother me or the SWI team about it.

  []Probably works with the Realspace mod, (Not officially supported, don't bother me about it).

  []Compatible with any game overhaul that uses standard weapon and engine tags

Simply unpack the folder into your X4 Foundations\extensions folder

A: This is a real, functioning ship mod. You can even put alternative paintjobs on it!

A: I made it myself! With careful, slow, painstaking effort, the entire mod creation from idea to functioning in game took a staggering 4 hours and 27 minutes.

A: It's freely available in custom start and also sold by the Argon Federation!

Q: Why is there no docking pad for S ships?

A: It would not be canon to have one.
