# Firefly-Class Transport (Serenity)

### "She may not look like much, but she'll fly true."

Serenity's been sitting in a shipping container for three years. Textures gone, landing gear missing, nacelles spinning in silence, and she'd crash the game just by showing up. Couldn't leave her like that.

This is a community fix bringing the Firefly-Class Transport back to life in X4. Fair warning — I'm no modder. Never cracked open an XML file before this project started. The whole thing was built with AI assistance and a lot of testing, swearing, and figuring out why she kept rolling left.

She's flying now. Properly.

## Versions Available

9. 0 Standard Edition — Argon factions can purchase and build her. She may appear in the verse flying for Argon traders. Blueprint available at Argon wharfs, shipyards and equipment docks. Player can use as starting ship or build one.

9. 0 No-AI Edition — Player only. One Serenity in the verse — yours. No AI faction can purchase, build, or fly her. Blueprint still available at Argon stations so you can build her yourself. Can still be used as a custom starting ship. For those who feel there should only ever be one Serenity.

9. 0 VRO Edition — For players running Versatile Role Overhaul 5. 0+. Stats tuned to sit alongside VRO's rebalanced Argon M transports (hull, shield handling all matched to her peers). Argon factions can purchase, build, and fly her.

9. 0 VRO No-AI Edition — Same VRO-tuned stats, but player only. No AI faction can purchase, build, or fly her. Blueprint still available at Argon stations. For VRO players who want her stats balanced right but still want her to be one of a kind.

8. 0 VRO Edition — For players running the previous version of Versatile Role Overhaul.

8. 0 Standalone Edition — Download the Standalone file, drop the folder in your extensions, enable it, fly. That's it.

## ⚠ Engine Warning — Read Before You Fly

"She's a little — temperamental, Cap'n."

The Serenity model is an older X3-era mesh that was never built with modern engine optimization in mind. She is not a lightweight ship. In busy sectors with a lot of traffic, you may notice a performance hit — she pushes your GPU harder than a vanilla ship her size has any right to.

We know. It's on the list. For now, she flies — just maybe not in formation with fifty other ships at once. This is also why the No-AI Editions exist. The fewer Serenity's the verse has to render, the happier your rig will be. Mal wouldn't have it any other way.
