📋 About This Mod
Adds a custom **Invasion Fleet** AI order for your combat fleet. Assign it to your flagship and the fleet will autonomously hunt enemies across the galaxy — clearing sectors one by one, prioritizing targets intelligently, and keeping
Developed and iteratively refined over 44 versions through extensive in-game testing with a fleet of 80+ ships.
### What It Does
You assign the Invasion Fleet order to your flagship. The flagship commands all subordinate ships. The fleet:
1. Scans the galaxy for enemy sectors (stations and warships)
2. Flies to the nearest reachable sector (gate path check included)
3. Fights through all enemies using role-based tactics
4. Waits for stragglers, then moves to the next sector
### Tactical Features
Smart target priority
Fleet focuses on high-value targets first: stations → XL capital ships → L destroyers → M/S fighters. The flagship locks onto a target until it's destroyed or something higher-priority appears — no erratic switching between equal enemies.
Station assault tactics
- XL/L destroyers and battleships maintain distance and fire on their own
- Carriers receive `ProtectShip` instead of `Escort` — their fighters stay docked and do NOT fly into station point defense
- M/S corvettes and frigates guard against enemy escort fighters via `ProtectShip` on the flagship
- `fighterAttackStations` parameter (default: off) controls whether fighters are allowed to attack stations as a last resort
Direct carrier fighter management
Each carrier fighter receives direct attack orders from the script — priority: S-class → M-class → L-class → XL-class. Stations are excluded by default (fighters die to PD). When no valid targets exist, fighters are ordered back to their carrier.
Focus Fire with threshold
`focusFire` mode concentrates all XL/L ships on the same primary target. The `focusFireThreshold` parameter (default: 3) sets the minimum number of large enemy targets before focus fire activates — when there are 1–2 enemies, each ship picks its own target independently.
Fighter recall before jump
Before the fleet jumps to a new sector, all carrier fighters are recalled to their hangars. No more fighters left behind in a cleared sector.
M/S range filter
Enemy fighters more than 150 km away are excluded from the small-target list. The fleet doesn't chase a lone S-class scout across the entire sector.
Unreachable sector skip
If a sector has no gate path (closed gates, Highway-only, isolated), the fleet skips it and moves to the next target. No more fleet getting stuck trying to reach an inaccessible sector.
Galaxy scan cache
The expensive galaxy-wide enemy scan runs at most once every 300 seconds. After a sector is cleared, the cache is force-refreshed so the fleet immediately moves to the next real target.
