Modder’s Statement – Project Status Update

I was just about to sit down and work on an update, but with the latest changes to the APIs by SirNukes, I’ve decided to put this community project on hold for now.

This mod will remain as it is, providing support for X4: Foundations 7. X. The project will stay in a “ready” state, and I’ll be happy to provide support with this version if any issues arise with the official mod, which has been updated by the original author.

The GitHub repository of CE is now archived, but if the need arises, we can always create a new fork.

Thank you all for your enthusiasm, and special thanks to SirNukes for the original API tools that made this possible.

Before installing the Community Edition, please make sure you have uninstalled the Steam version of the APIs first.

If the Steam version was not removed properly, it may overwrite the CE version of the mod.

If still experiencing issues, please consider turning Steam Sync OFF. To change these settings, visit Extensions in the Main Menu — game must not be started yet to access it.

Make sure you have the valid, up-to-date modification turned ON in your game settings ✅

⚠️ Mod Manager Caution!

While mod managers work fine for most mods and are really convenient, some mods that update automatically (especially economy-heavy or map-changing mods) may brick your save game! ⚠️

❌ Files SHOULDN'T BE OVERWRITTEN, but instead REMOVED COMPLETELY before an update.

✅ Then, manually install the mod before loading your save game.
