At first glance, the Jager class looks like a hodgepodge of scrappy, individual parts bolted together onto a central hull, while in actuality the Jager was a thoroughly thought out design.

The Vigor syndicate needing a sister ship to the Rackham capable of engaging in more conventional combat tactics called on its engineers to design a corvette that would become a truly unique ship amongst contemporary corvette designs.

Specifying that the ship needed to be both fast, sport decent weaponry as well as being capable of carrying a sizeable amount of cargo the engineers set to work, using every bit of space they could find to fit in vital equipment, while maintaining its M size classification.

The end result was the Jager class, designed to support the syndicate's pillaging fleets, as well as serve as a blockade runner vessel capable of smuggling illegal wares through empire space without detection.

To accomplish this, the Jager was fitted with a unique foldable wing structure, engineered to store the ammunition and heat dissipation equipment for its main weapon batteries, allowing the Jager to mount its weapons on the outside of the hull unobstructed, reserving space on the central hull for cargo containers.

On the opposite side of the the ship an enormous sensor pod was mounted, housing the ship's unique sensor jamming technology, making it difficult to scan the ship's equipment, or its cargo for that matter.

what does this mod change

it adds an all new M class ship to the VIG syndicate wharf, as well as in some sector patrols and VIG pirate fleets.

This ship is a hybrid between a raider type corvette and a blockade runner, boasting a high top speed for a ship of its type, along with 3 medium guns and 2 turrets.

it has 4000m3 cargo space, while its balanced by its rather weak defensive systems, boasting only two shield generators and a relatively fragile hull.

Supports custom paint jobs, and there's an optional VRO patch.
