📋 About This Mod
Fleet Procurement Manager makes managing large fleets in X4 easier. Create fleet templates, organize ships, manage shipyard assignments, and automatically replace lost ships. Designed to reduce repetitive fleet management.
Fleet Procurement Manager
Create, save and order complete fleet templates with just a few clicks.
The Fleet Procurement Manager is designed to reduce fleet management, especially for larger fleets with carriers, destroyers, escorts and nested subordinate groups.
You can save complete fleet templates, order them across multiple shipyards and wharfs, automatically assign ships to the correct commander and group, capture existing fleets against a selected template, and automatically replace destroyed ships.
Main Features
Save and reuse complete fleet templates
Automatic assignment of commanders and subordinates
Hierarchical fleet structures with sub-commanders
Capture existing fleets and compare them with a selected template
Automatically order missing ships
Automatic replenishment of destroyed ships
Fleet tracking continues after save/load
How to Open
Open the Map and click the Fleet Procurement Manager button in the left sidebar.
Shipyard Selection & Priority
You can save up to 6 shipyards and wharfs for fleet procurement.
The selected stations are arranged in a priority order. The manager checks them from highest to lowest priority and uses the first suitable station that can build the required ship and equipment.
This allows you to combine shipyards from different factions and also include your own player-owned shipyards and wharfs.
Player Shipyard
Split Shipyard
Argon Shipyard
Teladi Wharf
If the player shipyard can build the required ship, it will be used. If it cannot, the manager checks the Split shipyard, then the Argon shipyard, and so on.
This makes it possible to use mixed fleets from different factions while still controlling which shipyards should be preferred.
Fleet Settings
Each managed fleet can use its own replenishment setting:
Automatic replacement is disabled for this fleet.
Safe Sectors Only
Lost ships are automatically replaced only while the fleet is in a safe/non-hostile sector.
All Sectors
Lost ships can also be replaced while the fleet is operating in hostile sectors.
The manager checks monitored fleets approximately every 30 seconds for changes, losses and required assignments. After a 5 Minute timer the order is sent.
These settings are stored separately for each fleet, so defensive and offensive fleets can use different replenishment behavior.
Existing Fleet Capture
Select the template you want to use, take control of the fleet commander and use “Capture Existing Fleet”.
The manager compares the current fleet with the selected template, reuses matching ships and orders any missing ships. Extra ships that are not part of the template are ignored.
How Ordering Works
Fleet orders use a two-step confirmation to prevent accidental purchases.
The manager can use different shipyards for different ship sizes, so XL/L ships can be ordered at shipyards while S/M ships are ordered at wharfs.
Once ships are completed, the manager assigns them according to the saved fleet hierarchy.
Known Limitation
X4 can occasionally show a different subordinate count for individual S/M ships, especially in carrier fleets.
In these cases, the displayed subordinate count may temporarily be off by one, showing either one ship missing or one extra, even though the fleet is tracked and assigned correctly. The display usually corrects itself after X4 updates the fleet state or after a reload
Compatibility
Tested with VRO. It should also work with Vanilla.
