Genetics Plus

Genetics Plus Per-individual trait inheritance designer. Choose, for every single unit, the exact chance that each of its traits passes to its children. Sliders, presets, persistent per-unit, saved with your world. What it does Adds a DNA button to every Unit Window (next to Trait Editor). Opens a panel listing every trait the unit currently has, each with a 0–100% inheritance slider. On birth, every trait the parents own is rolled against your configured chance, not the vanilla one. Auto-inherit toggle: when ON, the child also inherits the parent's slider settings — set it once on a founder, the whole lineage carries it. Apply All (100%) button — make every trait of this unit guaranteed to pass. Data is stored in the unit's native custom_data_float, so it saves and loads automatically with your world, with zero manual save management. Works on sexual reproduction (traitsInherit) and asexual / cloning (traitsClone). Presets Built-in presets shipped with the mod: All Max (100%), Half Chance (50%), Clear All. Marked with ★ in the UI. Save the current unit's sliders as a named preset (file: presets/ .json). Apply a preset to the currently open unit, or All sel. to apply it to every selected unit at once — great for mass-configuring a group. Delete removes user presets (built-ins are protected). Customizable hotkeys Open the Mod Configure window for Genetics Plus (gear icon in NML's mod manager). Each hotkey is a text field with a Unity KeyCode name. Defaults: F7 — open the Genetics window for the selected unit. F8 — set every trait of all selected units to 100%. F9 — clear all Genetics Plus settings on selected units. In the Unit Window, click the new DNA icon (next to the Trait Editor button). Drag sliders for the traits you care about, or pick a preset and hit Apply.
