Armageddon (Warhammer 40k)

Thousands of lightyears away from Holy Terra is the desolate hive world of Armageddon. It is a harsh planet, covered in unforgiving deserts, burning wastelands, freezing polar regions, jungles infested with Orks, and all polluted by ash wastes exuded from the industrial hellscapes of the Hive Cities that dot the planet. But what Armageddon is better known for the many wars that were fought upon it. First was a khornate incursion led by none other then Primarch Angron. Though he was banished thanks to the Grey Knights. The next two were greenskin invasion led by the mighty warboss Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka, "prophet of the WAAAGH." Both times he was driven from the planets, but the second time he was chased across the stars by Helbrecht and his Black Templars as well as the warboss' rival, Commissar Yarrick. However, as of M42, following the opening of the Great Rift, Armageddon was once again assailed by daemons led by the reborn Angron. The fate of the planet, as of now, remains uncertain.
