Place Of Power Shadows and Tweaks

Description

A simple standalone mod that adds shadows to the Places of Power in game. With four options for different brightness levels and pulsation.

Now bundled in as part of Better Candles - Better Lighting (so choose one). For more Lighting tweaks go there.

Installation instructions

Unzip and drag into the mods folder, or use a mod manager of your choice. 

Uninstall/disable: Remove from mods folder or disable by editing the name to start with "~".

Main features

The mod adds shadows to the Places of Power in the game along with a mod menu that allows you to tweak brightness, light radius, and attenuation/falloff.

For 4. 04/NG:

The four versions of the mod vary in overall Brightness and Variance of intensity of the light being cast.

Optional Files/Additional Tweaks:

Place of Power "inner glow" only - Removes the bright flashbang (Bloom/Glow) effect from the Places of Power activation sequence. Works as a standalone tweak. The rest of the effects are unaffected and remain. The "Inner glow" of the Places of power remain.

No Place of Power Bloom -  Removes the bright Bloom/Glow effects from the Places of Power. Works as a standalone tweak. The rest of the effects are unaffected and remain. Removes the "bright flash" on PoP activation.

Recommended companion mods (used for the Media Screenshots):

RenoDX - For proper HDR and LUT Scaling

Darker Nights - for more contrast at nights.

No Artificial player lights - Less "fake" light fill around Geralt, allows the Place of Power's own lights to be more impactful.

Possible future additions:

In process of making: Optional file that removes the Bloom/Glow effect form the activation sequence. (Added)

Considering adding more options and a mod menu that will allow in-game tweaking of the settings. - Now in the Remastered version
