No Modded Save Icon

Hey! This is my very first mod. If it made your save screen a little cleaner, please hit that Endorse button — it takes two seconds and means everything to a new mod author. Thank you!

Hides the mod.io cog icons that patch 5. 0 added: the one beside modded saves in the Load/Save lists, and the one next to NEW GAME in the main menu when running with mods. Your saves are still flagged as modded internally — the game just stops rubbing it in your face.

What it does

Patch 5. 0 added little mod.io cogs in two places: every save made with mods installed, and the NEW GAME button while mods are active. This mod tells the menu UI to never show either of them. That's it. A few lines of script, zero side effects:

- Achievements are untouched (PC achievements work with mods regardless).

- The internal "modded save" flag is untouched — only the icon visibility is forced off.

- Console trophy logic is preserved as-is.

Installation

1. Extract the archive into your Witcher 3 installation folder (where 'bin' lives), so you get mods/modHideModdedSaveIcon/...

2. Launch the game. No script merge needed.

To uninstall, delete mods/modHideModdedSaveIcon.

Compatibility

- Built and tested on patch 5. 0 (Remastered).

- Conflicts only with other mods that edit the same menu script files — unlikely, but if you hit a script compilation error, merge with Witcher Script Merger.

- Initial release.
