Filmic Reshade The Witcher lll (BETA)

BETA VERSION – This project is still in development.

A lightweight ReShade preset designed to push The Witcher 3 as close as possible to a ray-traced and photorealistic look, while keeping the visual effects relatively lightweight.

The goal is to recreate some of the visual characteristics of Ray Tracing and Path Tracing through ReShade-compatible techniques, improving the overall lighting, depth, reflections, shadows and image quality without requiring the full performance cost of true hardware RT/PT.

🌄 Visual Philosophy

The goal is not to make the game excessively dark, oversaturated or artificially sharp.

Instead, this preset aims for:

Natural lighting + realistic contrast + deeper shadows + subtle reflections + atmospheric depth + enhanced detail.

The objective is to get as close as possible to the visual impression of Ray Tracing and Path Tracing, while remaining much more accessible from a performance perspective.

🎯 My Setup

For reference, I personally play with DLSS 5 enabled.

If you want to reproduce the exact same visual result shown in my screenshots, you will also need to install DLSS 5 and enable it in-game.

The final appearance can vary depending on whether DLSS 5 is enabled, as well as your resolution and other graphics settings.

🧪 BETA

This is currently a Beta version and the preset is not 100% finished yet.

Some effects may still need adjustments, and you may encounter visual bugs, compatibility problems or unexpected results depending on your setup.

I will continue improving the preset over time.

If you encounter any problem, graphical bug, strange effect, installation issue or anything that doesn't look right, please don't hesitate to report it in the Nexus Mods comments.
