📋 About This Mod
A grim preset somewhat based on the Netflix series
The Netlifx series got a lot wrong, but one thing it got right was the ambience, the muted and gloomy colours are a much better fit for the tone of The Witcher than the overly colourful and bloomy vanilla graphics. This ReShade follows the same philosophy, desaturating the overall image whilst retaining vibrance where it makes sense, and replacing the overly blue vanilla filter with a more green/purple one.
This preset also makes nights a fair bit darker, but by no means unplayable.
Performance wise, you can expect to lose maybe 3-5 FPS with this preset enabled, it's incredibly performace friendly. This was tested on the DX11 version at 2160x1080p on all ultra+ settings.
Installation:
Install the latest version of ReShade
Extract this file into your main Witcher 3 directory
- for DX11 this is steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\bin\x64
- For DX12 this is steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\bin\x64_dx12
* Access the GUI by pressing the home key, there you can tweak the settings, the preset can be toggled on/off using the (-) key
