Adjustable Texture Sharpening

This is a simple mod, it allows one to reduce or increase their texture sharpening, and or mip-map bias inside the graphics settings within the game. This is different from the post process sharpening as this actually affects the textures themselves.

At some point CDPR, changed the default setting for this in a patch. Making some of the textures shimmer a bit too much.

Another mod was uploaded that is virtually the same thing, but it was made for an older version of the game. Since then CDPR has updated the game with a couple new settings, so I figured I would keep it up to date, at least for 1. 11

I think the game looks better when this setting isn't so high.

(Be aware that game setting will say it is set to low when you change it and enter the menu again, the setting does in fact save. It just shows the wrong value.)

Installation Instructions:

1. Backup your rendering.xml in

(The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc)

2. Place the rendering.xml you just downloaded inside (The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc)

3. Say yes to any overwrite confirmations

3. That's it.

The setting can be find under texture quality in your graphics options.

I prefer the setting on low or 0. 2.

You may like having it at higher levels, experiment.
