The Witcher 2 Black Ops Achievement

I have included the save file for the achievement as well as a walkthrough video.

To get the file working you should back up your saves. You can find them in the folder C:\Users\<user>\Documents\Witcher 2\gamesaves, where <user> is your Windows username.

If you use Steam Cloud, the saves are located in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<user-steam-id>\20920\remote, where <user-steam-id> is the ID of your Steam account. I recommend turning off Steam Cloud for The Witcher 2 until you get the achievement. If you don't, Steam will download your saves again.

First of all, go into Steam Offline mode. You can do that by clicking Steam in the upper left corner of the Steam client, then selecting Go Offline..., and then clicking Restart in Offline Mode.

To backup your saves, I recommend renaming the folder "remote" to something like "remote-backup", then creating another folder called "remote".

Once you have backed up all your saves, download the mod and extract the files, then copy "ManualSave_0330.sav" and "ManualSave_0330_640x360.bmp" into the empty "remote" folder.

Once you have the files copied, open The Witcher 2 and load up the only save you should have. Follow the video to get to the other side of the camp. Then make a save and quit the game.

Lastly, open Steam and go back online. You should get the achievement.

Now you can delete the "remote" folder and rename the folder containing your saves back to its original name, "remote". If you turned off Steam Cloud, you can turn it back on now.

If you open The Witcher 2, you should have all your save files there.
