📋 About This Mod
Pacifist Ships is a simple mod that changes enemy ship behavior so they are non-hostile
This page includes separate ship behavior mods for Windrose. These mods are meant to give players different options depending on how they want sea encounters to feel.
There are three different options:
-
[]Pacifist Ships[/]
[]Smaller Ship Aggro[/]
[]Smaller Ship Groups[/]
1. Pacifist Ships
Pacifist Ships is for players who want hostile AI ships to stop attacking the player.
This version is meant to greatly reduce or remove hostile ship combat behavior so players can sail, explore, and travel with little to no enemy ship aggression.
What Pacifist Ships does
-
[]Makes AI ships much less hostile or non-hostile toward the player[/]
[]Helps stop enemy ships from attacking[/]
[]Best for peaceful sailing, exploration, or relaxed server gameplay[/]
Important Compatibility Note
Use Pacifist Ships by itself.
Do not combine Pacifist Ships with Smaller Ship Aggro or Smaller Ship Groups unless you are testing and understand possible conflicts.
Pacifist Ships edits ship behavior in a different way, so using it with the other ship encounter mods may cause unexpected results.
2. Smaller Ship Aggro
Smaller Ship Aggro reduces the detection / aggro range of hostile AI ships.
Ships can still fight normally when you get close, but they should not aggro from extremely far away or pull half the ocean into one fight.
What Smaller Ship Aggro does
-
[]Reduces hostile AI ship aggro range[/]
[]Reduces long-distance dogpiling[/]
[]Ships still attack when close enough[/]
[]Keeps normal ship combat active[/]
What it does not do
-
[]Does not make ships passive[/]
[]Does not remove ships[/]
[]Does not reduce ship group size by itself[/]
3. Smaller Ship Groups
Smaller Ship Groups reduces random ambient sea ship groups.
Instead of large groups or fleets spawning all over the ocean, random sea encounters should now usually spawn in smaller groups, around 1–2 ships.
What Smaller Ship Groups does
-
[]Reduces ambient sea ship group size[/]
[]Caps random sea spawner groups to smaller encounters[/]
[]Keeps ship combat enabled[/]
[]Keeps ships spawning[/]
[]Does not intentionally edit quest/named ship files[/]
What it does not do
-
[]Does not make ships passive[/]
[]Does not remove combat[/]
[]Does not remove ships completely[/]
[]Does not change map fog[/]
[]Does not intentionally edit named/quest boardable ships[/]
Recommended Setup
