Description

This equipment slot patcher allows you to add a second glove slot on your existing Windrose character. Just download the tool, pick your character, adjust the slots, and apply changes.

Vanilla Windrose gives you one glove slot. This mod raises that limit to 2 glove slots so you can equip two gloves.

The extra slot allows you to have an additional 2-slot bonus effect, so you can have up to three active armor buffs at the same time.

Usage Instructions

Ensure Windrose is fully closed before running the patcher.

  []Run windrose_equipment_slots_patcher_v.exe from the download.[/]

  []Select the character you want to update and follow the on-screen instructions.[/]

  []Confirm the patch. The tool saves a backup before making any changes.[/]

  []Launch Windrose and verify the extra glove slot appears on that character.[/]

  Note: The last glove you equip is the one that appears visually on your character.

  To undo a patch, run the patcher again and choose Reset Slots to Vanilla or Restore Backup. If you want fewer slots than you currently have, unequip items from the slots you are removing first.

    How do I backup my saves?

    This tool automatically creates a backup before every patch and before every backup restore.

    If you want to manually backup your saves yourself, you can find them at:

    %LOCALAPPDATA%\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\<STEAM_ID>\

    My patch didn't stick / slots reverted after launching (Steam Cloud Sync)

    In some cases, Steam Cloud Sync can overwrite your patched save with an older copy from the cloud when you launch Windrose. If your extra slots disappear after launching the game, try this:

    • []In Steam → right-click Windrose → Properties → General → uncheck "Keep game saves in the Steam Cloud"[/]

      []If Steam asks about a conflict, choose Use Local files[/]

      []Re-run the patcher if needed[/]

      []After verifying the patch worked, you can re-enable Steam Cloud Sync when you quit the game

      How can I add more slots than the limit?

      Run the exe with the --nocap flag. This removes the upper limits so you can set any value. Use with care.
