## Description

BlackFlag Mod Manager is a free, open-source desktop tool for managing and creating mods for Windrose on Windows. It gives you a simple interface to install, enable, and disable .pak mods for your game client and dedicated server, and lets you generate your own custom Game Tuning mods without touching a single file.

This is our first modding project — not everything may work perfectly yet, and we are actively improving it. If something breaks, please leave a bug report, and we will get on it.

## Installation Instructions

1. Download `BlackFlagModManager.exe` from the Files tab

2. Place it anywhere on your PC and run it — no installer needed

3. The tool will auto-detect your Windrose installation via Steam

4. If it does not find it automatically, open the Settings tab and set your game path manually

## Main Features

Mod Manager

Install, enable, and disable .pak mods for the Windrose game client from a single interface.

Dedicated Server Support

Connect to your dedicated server via FTP to deploy mods remotely, pull and push the server's `ServerDescription.json` config, list every mod currently on the server, and bulk-delete mods you no longer want.

Game Tuning Creator

Generate your own custom .pak mods using simple sliders — no files to edit, no modding knowledge needed. Adjust:

- Stack sizes — how many of each item type fits in a single inventory slot (basic materials, ores, ingots, food, alchemical materials, ammunition, consumables, and more)

- Loot drop rates — sulfur, stone, clay, soil, obsidian, salt, herbs, food plants, farming crops, fishing yield, shipwreck and scrap piles, and animal drops

- Backpack slot count — scale all backpack tiers proportionally

- Fast Travel bell limit — max number of Fast Travel Bells placeable per world

- Lantern burn duration — how long a lantern burns before needing refuel

Pick a preset (Relaxed or Abundant) or fine-tune each slider individually. Any slider left at vanilla writes nothing to your generated mod, so the game keeps its own values for everything you didn't change.

Mod Library

A unified library of all your downloaded and generated mods. Install any of them to the client, the dedicated server, or both with one click.

Backup System

Automatically backs up your ~mods/ folder before any install or removal so you can always roll back.

Activity Log

A persistent log of every install, remove, enable, disable, and generation — so you always know what changed and when.

Dashboard

Quick-access buttons for common actions, recent activity at a glance, and a one-click game launch button.

This tool focuses on the mod features that work cleanly with JSON-only .pak files. For features that require binary asset edits — base wood-per-chop, base ore-per-dig, or resource respawn timing — install the dedicated community mods alongside this manager (MoreTreeResources, MoreMineralResources, etc.). The Mod Library will deploy them to your client and server for you, and the two work together without conflict.

## Requirements

- Windows 10 or 11

- Windrose installed via Steam

- No additional software required — the download is a standalone .exe

- (Optional) An FTP account on your dedicated server, if you want to manage it remotely
