📋 About This Mod
Inspired by DarkViperAU's Pacifist Challenge playthrough of Grand Theft Auto V (which he finished recently) and his playthrough of Watch Dogs 2, I decided to make this mod, which really puts your skills to the test as it was designed for a truly pacifist playthrough, making the following changes:
- Guns can no longer use ammo when you use them, but enemies still can. The only exception is Wrench's section of Motherload, where he has nothing but a single ACR assault rife. This weapon cannot be obtained outside of this mission so it can't be exploited. With sheer dumb luck and stupid levels of RNG you technically can beat the mission without the rifle but it's not worth risking your sanity over.
- Melee is disabled. You now need to take more time during enemy-infested areas.
- Throwable explosives and zappers are now gone.
- Mass Hacks like Mass Distract and Blackout are now gone.
- Custom main menu and loading screens, plus a cleaned up UI.
- Removed all purple missions, loot trucks and cTOS Boxes included, as installing mods disables online play.
To install, extract the download into data_win64 which can be found right next to the game's executable.
Pacifist Challenge is a small mod that tweaks the game to make killing nearly impossible, catering to players who want a non-lethal playthrough. With only 2 endorsements and 120 downloads, it's a niche addition last updated in October 2022.
