BACKSTORY

This simple, yet impactful mod, aims to create a harder, more cinematic and rewarding chase sequence in WATCHDOGS.

This mod was created months ago after the discovery of a problem between 2 mods. One mod had to go, however this feature i wanted to keep. First i simply copied the values and called it a day. Now, later, I redid the mod and perfected it to my liking, making it a perfect standalone mod.

The key feature of this mod is the fact that search times are significantly longer and larger then before.

FEATURES

The key feature of this mod is the fact that search times are significantly longer and larger then before.

The police AI Always felt ''Robotic''. Turns out the absurdly small search times was the only issue.

Here is an overview:

HEAT 1: Regular, vanilla search zone. 60 seconds and a small zone. 1 patrol car responds.

HEAT 2: doubled search time and doubled zone. Not very hard to escape but still challenging.

HEAT 3: Doubled search time and doubled zone (Stacked from HEAT 2, so about x1. 5-x2 HEAT 2) for a hard, rewarding and cinematic search sequence.

HEAT 4: VERY large search zone and VERY long search time (Up to 6 IRL minutes.) This is a VERY hard escape and requires you to either sit out the long search While evading or escaping the zone, which is a significant challenge due to the large zone and patrol cars, roadblocks, helicopters etc.

HEAT 5: INFINITE SEARCH TIME, INSANELY LARGE ZONE. This is the ultimate challenge regarding police. You cannot sit out the search and HAVE to escape the zone. which can now cover MULTIPLE DISTRICTS of the city (The LOOP, MAD MILE, and depending on your position it can even stretch into a third district)

TIP!!!! Utilize the ''Hide in Car'' mechanic! Police won't just zone in on you, so it is actually possible to hide out in an alleyway or garage for some time. For some reason just a larger search zone already massively improves this.
