# DualSense Button Prompts

PlayStation button prompts for WATCH_DOGS. Replaces the Xbox face buttons with

cross, circle, square and triangle, and the shoulder buttons with L1 and R1.

Only the inside of each button glyph is replaced, so every button housing keeps

Ubisoft's original artwork, at the original resolution, in the original style.

Keyboard and mouse prompts are not touched. Stick and D-pad glyphs are left

alone as well, since those are identical on both controllers.

## Requirements

- NexusTools (WATCH_DOGS Mod Manager) 1. 1. 11 or newer

## Installation

1. Install NexusTools if you haven't already.

2. Download the archive from this page.

3. Open WATCH_DOGS Mod Manager/Nexus Tools (What you just installed)

4. Click Install Mod

5. Select the zip folder DualSensePrompts_v2. 0. 0.zip

6. Click Install.

7. Make sure that the DualSense Button Prompts sits above  Living_City Graphic_Tweaks in the Load Order.

### Priority (important)

NexusTools resolves conflicts by priority, and a lower number wins.

If you use Living_City Graphic_Tweaks, this mod must sit above it in the

list, or Living_City's copy of the prompt atlas will win and you'll still see Xbox

buttons. Drag DualSense Button Prompts above it.

This is safe to do: the mod is built on top of Living_City Graphic_Tweaks'

version of that texture, so taking priority does not undo anything that mod does.

## Compatibility

- Living_City Graphic_Tweaks — fully compatible, see the priority note above.

- The Fall of Windy City II — no overlap, it doesn't touch UI prompt textures.

- Living_City, Source Textures, Sign Overhaul, Glass Phone UI — no overlap.

- Other button-prompt mods — not compatible. Pick one. It is also not advised to use mods that ask you to replace files manually. In 2026 it is advised to use NexusTools to install mods so compatibility and overrides do not happen. This is why I made this mod since old playstation icon replacement mods do not support nexusTools

Only two files are replaced, both prompt atlases:

ui\supertextures\pc.xbt

ui\supertextures\platform\platform_lib_buttons.xbt

The game has no PlayStation artwork hidden inside it — the only PlayStation

assets that ship with WATCH_DOGS are controller diagrams for the controls screen.

Every glyph here was made  match the game's existing button style: same

weight, same anti-aliasing, same black-fill-and-white-outline treatment.

This mod was only tested at the begining of the game. If you find glyphs that are not replaced please post a comment where you found the unreplaced glyph

## Uninstall

1. Open Watch_Dogs Mod Manager

2. Click Open Mods Folder

3. Find and Delete `data_win64\mods\dualsense_prompts`,

3. 5 Additionaly you can just disable the mod NexusTools/Mod Manager by clicking the mod and removing the checkmark under options Enabled.

- Troplo — NexusTools, without which none of this would be installable.

- The existing PSX Buttons mod, which confirmed which atlas the PC build reads.
