📋 About This Mod
A few narrative fixes and improvements of Solomorne's "personal quest", i.e. Lex Imperialis's plotline to make his development more in-line with those of other companions. (Поддержка русского языка!)
A short spoiler-free description:
This mod adds a few reactions for Solomorne in parts of Lex Imperialis where there was a glaringly strange lack of them in Act 4. It also makes his mechanical conviction reflect his route and changes the mechanism by which the route is chosen.
I did NOT touch his romance, and I don't plan on it.
Compatibility
This mod shouldn't conflict with anything. You can also add it in any part of the game, but the later you activate
it, the more functionality you will lose.
If you experience issues of not having enough flags:
They are very tricky to get, which is an issue I plan to address in next versions of the mod. For now, please use Toybox. Instructions will be below.
A long, FULL OF SPOILERS (for this mod and for Lex Imperialis) description below:
Originally, Solomorne's "route"/conviction is chosen based on a single reply you give him in Act 3/Veabos-6. A single line which is locked to your conviction.
Using ToyBox, I found that there are unused "SolomorneRespectsYou" and "SolomorneHatesYou" flags for Solomorne over the game. I sprinkled some extras and attached Solomorne's route to them. Now you can try convincing him to pick any conviction, but he will only listen if he respects you well enough. (Respect > 2 and Respect > Hatred in breakdown scene for respect route, then Respect > 4 and Respect > Hatred for full respect route where Sol will agree with whatever you are planning to)
His respect toward you also affects his chances of standing against you in the Act 4 court trial. If he hates you too much, he might even leave you forever!
Also, did you know that if you attacked the court instead of listening to Vultur's accusations, Solomorne will ignore all your previous crimes (such as stealing the tithe) and fight on your side no matter what?
Now you know.
Now you can also forget this, because this mod adds a reaction for Solomorne there. And a reaction that explains why Solomorne is locked on Leetus despite the quest pick-up dialogue not mentioning him at all (this dialogue doesn't have a pointless Solomorne party lock anymore, by the way).
I plan to fix a few other narrative bugs and perhaps add more reactivity for Solomorne's respect and hatred into the game in the future, but idk we will see how it goes.
