Twitch Versus

Your Twitch chat spends Channel Points to throw bosses, specials, packs and hordes at your Darktide squad — or to bail it out with a crate or a stimm.

Twitch Versus lets your viewers spend Channel Points to drop bosses, specials, packs and hordes into your Darktide mission — or to help your squad with a crate or a stimm. Every reward can fire the instant a viewer pays, go to a native Twitch poll first, or be switched off entirely, and you can write your own enemy mixes such as 5 trappers, 5 mutants, 10 hounds. The mod creates and manages the rewards on your channel for you; you never touch a Twitch dashboard mid-stream.

READ THIS FIRST: it only works while YOU are hosting the mission

Darktide's normal missions run on Fatshark's servers, and no mod can spawn anything there. Twitch Versus needs the Realms mod, which lets your own PC host the mission. Realms in turn needs SoloPlay.

In a normal matchmade mission (Quickplay, the mission board, Auric, Havoc, Party Finder…) the mod does nothing at all — by design. Its rewards are paused, and anything a viewer manages to redeem anyway is refunded. If you join a friend's Realms session instead of hosting it yourself, the mod is inert for you too: it has to run on the host's PC.

Please read that twice — it is the single most common reason for "nothing happens".

Two more things worth knowing before you download:

• []SoloPlay's own description says it: you can't get any rewards or progression in local games. A Twitch Versus stream is a hosted Realms mission, so it does not level your character.[/]

  []Players who join your Realms session do not need Twitch Versus installed. The enemies it spawns are ordinary enemies to them.[/]

  Requirements

  • []Darktide Mod Loader + Darktide Mod Framework (DMF) — every Darktide mod runs on DMF. Install the loader first, then DMF; the DMF page tells you how.[/]

    []SoloPlay — lets you start a mission on your own PC instead of on Fatshark's servers. Realms depends on it.[/]

    []Realms — turns that local mission into one your friends can join, with your PC as the host. Twitch Versus depends on it.[/]

    On the Twitch side you need Channel Points switched on and a Twitch application of your own — the mod does not ship with one. Both are covered under Setup below.

    Installation. Unzip so that you end up with <Darktide>\mods\TwitchVersus\TwitchVersus.mod (do not rename the folder — TwitchVersus is the name the game looks for), then open <Darktide>\mods\mod_load_order.txt and make sure these three are in it, in this order:

    TwitchVersusStart the game and press Esc → Mods: if a Twitch Versus group is in the list, the mod is loaded. Every command on this page is typed into the in-game chat (open it with Enter), starting with a slash, and the mod answers in the same chat. Most of the important commands also exist as buttons in the mod's settings menu.

    What your viewers can do

    []Spawns. 22 built-in rewards, from a single Trapper for 100 points to a Beast of Nurgle for 2500: specials, packs of hounds and mutants, squads of Ragers, Maulers, Bulwarks, Crushers and Reapers, a Pack Master, a full Ambush Horde, Chaos Spawn, Plague Ogryn.[/]

    []Help for the squad. A medicae crate, an ammo crate, a random stimm for everyone with an empty pocket, and Recall the Spawns — mercy that despawns everything the mod put on the map.[/]

    []Custom groups. Ten slots for enemy mixes you write yourself — 5 trappers, 5 mutants, 10 hounds — each becoming its own reward with its own name, price, mode and cooldown.[/]

    [*]Native Twitch polls. Any reward can be set to Vote: the viewer pays, a real Twitch poll opens, and the effect fires only if chat says yes — otherwise the viewer is refunded. Start a Vote puts Dog Pack, Crushe
