We have indeed made a masterdata fix, which doesn’t require an actual hotfix.

FS Julia: To all, please restart Darktide now and see if the issue persists.

SKIPS loading ogryns on main menu character select screen to bypass the loadout that causes crash.

Working on a loadout fix but I need more info. Replace "ogryn" in the lua text code with other archetype name or use v0. 2, Arbites is "adamant" archetype.

Please bear with me, I'm operating on very little sleep.

V0. 2 Set which characters to skip (one or all)

This is for another very quick and dirty character bypass temp kludge.

The game console log files are in the folder:

C:\Users\<YOUR_USERNAME_HERE>\AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide\console_logs

In the console log it will add some logging breadcrumbs prefixed by this:

and for each char

Loading character profile:Followed by the character ID string.

This SHOULD show up right before a crash, this character_ID we’ll feed into a lua configuration file.

This character_id string will look something like “04a6e5ec-4ba0-4d6e-OTHER_CRAP”, this is what we need, copy this value.

Edit the file “scripts\mods\LoadingFix\characters_to_skip.lua” and replace on of the 4 placeholders with the value you just copied, the

actual real character ID of the offending char.

"character_id_3",

"character_id_4",

Now restart your game and it bypass loading that specific char ID (and ogryns)

and hopefully get you on your way by skipping offending character while coffee kicks in and I can bypass the other error.
