📋 About This Mod
🔊Tired of not being able to hear when Demolition Stockpile, Demolition Team, Big Friendly Rock or Lone Wolf (Arbites Grenade/Voltaic Shock Mine) regenerate? Well so was I.
I created a mod that allows you to configure an alternate sound for Veteran's Demolition Stockpile and Ogryn's Big Friendly Rock regeneration, as well as regeneration for the Lone Wolf Keystone when using the Arbites Grenade or the Voltaic Shock Mine.
These reference the same sound event for regenerating grenades/rocks/mines, this mod by default changes that sound to "pick_up_grenade". Includes a list of alternate in-game sounds you can choose instead of "pick_up_grenade".
Includes An Optional Alternate Sound Toggle for 🎯Veteran's Skill Demolition Team.
The default sound event in Darktide for Demolition Team is "play_pick_up_ammo_01" , that event is also referenced when you pick up a small ammo tin, or when you resupply from an ammo crate. In order to change the sound that Demolition Team makes, I have to replace "play_pick_up_ammo_01" with something else (until I figure out another way). The Demolition Team Alternate Sound option I created replaces that sound in the game to "pick_up_grenade" by default. (I have also included another list of sounds you can change it to instead.)
Keep in mind!
If toggled on, in addition to playing when Demolition Team is proc'd, every time you pick up a small ammo tin or resupply from an ammo crate, instead of hearing the normal "play_pick_up_ammo_01" sound, you will hear whichever sound you have set the Demolition Team Alternate Sound to be, which again by default in the mod options is "pick_up_grenade".
It will always be somewhat difficult to hear the sound for Demolition Team as it gets covered up by the necessary audio when killing an elite or specialist enemy (melee/ranged weapon sound, weakspot/crit/headshot/elite kill sound, etc.)
But, this mod makes it much easier to consistently hear when the skill is proc'd.
