J1N1 Cockpit edit by Altair Featuring Kiso from Kancolle

J1N1 Heavy Fighter Cockpit edit.

Letimotive for this edit was Kiso from Kantai Collection (Kancolle)

Interior res 16k DDS, Exterior res 8K DDS, 216mb in total (if you keep one skin).

Inside you have 4 stylized photos, three of them were printed on poorer quality paper (won't shine) and one was printed on good quality paper (It shines) and has burned corner.

Kanji on burned photo (kouno) means "best of luck".

All those pictures are held in place by tape. (It shines)

The "paper card" is metal plate of same idea as on Ki-27 since the textures placing allowed me to do so.

Metal plate will behave like metal (correctly painted in N mask) in 75% metal, 75% reflection if i recall.

Photos on metal plate were fastned by rope.

Screws were supposedly painted to appear 3D but idk about that. (May not be working)

NSFW Photos on metal plate won't shine, and neither rope will.

Author bulshittsing or whatever that is:

Skin is Yellow & Green, to be frank  it's not the highest quality work, it rather shares quality with ki-27. It's a fast edit. (Tho all of that took couple hours in total so mm, not really that "fast")

Skin is "supposed" to look like some sort of jungle skin. But truth is, i made it to share color palate with sunflower from photo that you will see on your right, behind you, in cockpit.

I seen and liked that photo many years ago (five or more) when i still played Kancolle. So when i decided that i will make Kiso edit, i diged thru danbooru library until i found it again ;)

And as for why it's NSFW-only edit. Well, answer is time.

If i would like to do SFW i would have to pick and then prepare 3 to 5 more photos and compile textures twice.

Since i would never be able to get everything in same spot i would also had to make N mask again.

Why not just usual paper card?

Now when i think about it, i could had made it this way to have SFW, but oh well, to late :] besides, i was really keen on doing same style metal plate as in ki-27 since i really like how it looks.

I tried doing same thing in Cw-21 since textures placement seemingly looked like it would allow me to, only to realize that i wasted my time since if i place it there then even with 16k resolution it won't be sharp at all. It looked nearly as another ki-109 cockpit (placeholder) so i ditched it and made Cw-21 in other way.

My disappointment resulted in why Cw-21 don't have decal skin.

Good question. This is only IMO but this is not a very good plane. Don't get me wrong. It's steering is quite good, it has slats to help with turning, flaps also really help in turns and engines are contra-rotating wich really is a quality of live feature for sim (no need for trim and less likely to spin) + whole plane is really sturdy and quadruple 7mm
