Over & Under

The reigning Underlord of this watery realm gained his power through deals struck with traitorous denizens of the overworld. With his army comprised of both light and shadow, nothing could stand before him, and his rivals were easily banished. However, without a common enemy to unite them, the soldiers from above and below soon found quarrel with one another in their now-cramped keep, forcing their dark master to choose between them. The fickle lord cast aside his loyal underworld denizens in favor of his new terrestrial allies (preferring their nicer smell, by some accounts). In an act of defiance, the outcast minions constructed a keep of their own; identical to, and facing, the old. The bold challenge did not go unnoticed.
