While being one of the first and successful workshop maps for Unturned, it had several issues. Firstly, due to Nelson's constant updates, the lootspawns and zombie spawns are horribly outdated. The original map also lacked features such as safezones, NPCs, deadzones, hidden caves/tunnels using the Volumetric Landscape tool, etc. This update fixes most of these contents. Several areas were either removed or downsized for better server-side performance. The original smileyland had an incredibly large navmesh area which frankly made hosting unbearable Please note that all original credit for the map goes to Wishing1. The following are some of the more generic features <> Revamped lootspawns to include all loots from the latest updates, including weapons, gear, and supplies from Russia <> Added safezones on The Alamo isle. Added several deadzones on some loot hotspots <> Redone the terrain with high quality Russian materials, as well as using Russian assets for boulders, etc <> Original map had far too many zombie nodes and the nav mesh was ridiculously large. This map removes about 6 navmeshes and downsizes 4 navmeshes for better server performance <> Added custom NPCs and quests around the map with factions <> Added lore <> Added a subway metro that leads out of the Smiley isles <> Lots of hidden caves, vaults, and more
