Eracon Home System

The Ercon are a relatively primitive, out of the other species of the Orion Spur they didn't naturally invent any form of FTL, Draconian species hailing from a moon of the Gas Giant Zycie Prime known simply as Zycie. The Eracon were prey to a large avian species, until the Eracon managed to finally wipe them out five hundred years before they discovered the Oman civilization. The thousands of years of knowing that all could come to an end in an instant has caused heavy emphasis to be placed on family, community and helping all who need it. As such homlessness and poverty are absent from their society. Due to an abundance of natural Thorium and Uranium on Zycie and the brightness of Swilatlo, the Eracon have become adept at Beamed power and use it to power their huge interplanetary vessels. When the Eracon finally reached Oman they were surprised that the civilization they were expecting was almost identical to themselves, the primary differences were a long and slender build and the ability to fly without wings. Turns out that hundreds of thousands of years before their earliest records the Eracon were a species that had spread across the entire galaxy. However a catyclism occured and the entire race was brought to the edge of extinction. In a bid to protect themselves the Eracon ancestors destroyed all traces of technology and modifyed themselves in an attempt to hide from whatever disaster caused their dowfall. The natives of Oman were the unmodifyed survivors of the catyclism and were left behind to observe the redevelopment of the Eracon. Upon this discovery the Eracon started to roam the stars once again and have become a prominent species in the galactic community. In order to have a peaceful place for all races to gather and comingle the Ercon built a ring aroud Oman.
