[2026.1] Extended Map Line Tools

Allows locking of direction, or length of a map line by holding E, or R while placing the line. How to use it Hold R while placing a line to lock its length. The line will maintain the distance it had when you pressed R, letting you freely rotate it around the start point without losing your measured distance. Hold E while placing a line to lock its angle. The line will maintain its direction while you adjust its length freely along that bearing. Why? The vanilla line tool is okay, but using it for more complex tasks is beyond tedious. This mods helps when using methods such as graphical intercepts (Kreuzeraufgabe) or bearing-only target motion analysis (Spiess-TMA a.k.a. 4-bearing method). Compatibility No known conflicts. Does not modify any game data and patches only the map line placement UI, and is thus save-game compatible. Notes There is one unintended behavior that I haven't looked into fixing yet. If you hold either of the two buttons and your mouse touches the end- or startpoint of a different line, that point will be pulled towards the location of your mouse pointer. This can be helpful when used intentionally, but it can also screw up previously placed lines or markers if you're not careful.
