TARS-Set This set includes three trams/streetcars, of which two are 1939 built New York City streetcars and one is from Vienna. This odd combination originates from the fact, that those New Yorker streetcars were sold to Vienna in 1949 as part of the Marshall-Plan, where they served 20 more years in service. Third Avenue Railway System (TARS) TARS Lightweight from 1939 to 1948 TARS Lightweight Trolley from 1939 to 1948 Wiener Stadtwerke - Verkehrsbetriebe (WStW) Vienna Z Stock - "American" from 1949 to 1969 All three vehicles have a capacity of 14 passengers.
