Therefore, Chirpokind had one last thing to ask of MEMENTO before they left for their next expedition: a new vehicle that could be used by civilian organizations and local police forces to help with that, since they had lost too many ChirpoPods in the war and the Chirpozoids weren't fit for that line of work. The Bureau then designed a new small ship inspired by the ChirpoPods, calling it BurgoPod. It was armed with an EMP launcher to disable criminal vehicles on the run and low-caliber blaster guns to use whenever things became ugly. It was also fit to fly in air, in space, and even underwater, giving Chirpos the greatest operational coverage possible. Additionally, the BurgoPod bore a striking resemblance to King Melvin, the mythic character of the Melvinian Legends. To Chirpos, nothing conveys "protective authority" like a Melvin figure. After the project's approval was signed by the Chirpo ambassador, he asked the Bureau representative, "But why is it named BURGO-Pod? Is it a Metalburg reference?... Oh hold on. It's burger-shaped.
