Additionally, the Druid II was designed to fly in tandem with Minstrel IIs, just like the first Druid, which was flown alongside Mb-07 Minstrels. It was quite the marketing strategy: that way MEMENTO Club could sell their airframes in neat bundles (which was also the reason why the Mb-XT10 drones were called Familiars. They go together with Druids like peanut butter and jelly in this big sandwich called thematic consistency). The Druid II was made to fill in bombing niches too precise for the Mb-X68 Diplocaulus II and CAS niches too hefty for the Mb-X70 Mutt, making it a complete solution for any kind of air-to-surface, space-to-surface, and even submarine missions. A number of these new Druids composed the Minstrel II squadron that escorted MEMENTO Club's Avilon expedition, but it was more of an exhibition tour across the Galaxy to turn the heads of potential buyers than anything else. After all, MEMENTO knew there was no chance they would ever need that kind of craft in Avilon... Or so they thought. - Brought to you by the MEMENTO Club.
