T-84 Oplot-M

The T-84, also known as the BM Oplot, is a Ukrainian main battle tank first produced by the KMDB plant in 1995. The T-84 is based on the modernised Soviet-era T-80UD tank (also designed and produced by KMDB), with the main difference being the use of a welded turret in place of the cast turret of the T-80UD, reinforced with two layers of Nizh ERA on the turret face and the frontal half of the sideskirt, as well as a revised powertrain to significantly increase the tank's reverse speed and mobility. The T-84 has served as Ukraine's main battle tank since its introduction in 1995, with several variants developed both for domestic use and export.
