He replaced the original engines with the high-horsepower ones used by the Mb-08 Druids and swapped the miniguns for explosive round cannons. Then, to intimidate his foes, he was given a bright livery. The Viridians would soon know the deadly yellow machine as "Goldenbane," the Sun-setter. But despite the cool nickname, Joe couldn't escape the banter of his squadron mates, who called his plane "Golden Banane." After all, the Minstrel was already kind of banana-shaped, and when it was painted yellow, the joke wrote itself. Years later, after Joe retired and became an airtaxi pilot, the Metalburg Bureau called him to collaborate on the development of a small single-engine civilian plane (attaching the names of legendary war heroes to their products was a marketing strategy).
