📋 About This Mod
- WASDQE: Pitch/Roll/Yaw - Spacebar: Thrust - T: Toggle autocruise - 1: Toggle music LORE: Captain Joe Dunne was a pilot and a veteran of the Viridian War. He scored 67 kills in his Mb-07, only two away from becoming Metalburg's top ace. After retiring, he still loved flying and worked as an airtaxi pilot. But he had nightmares in which he had his wings cut. He dreamt of planes that flew by themselves, depriving humanity of their place among the clouds. He feared that the dreams were a forewarning about A. I. He researched and learned that the Bureau had been trying to tame the A. I. beast since they accidentally "discovered" it with the AuSTIn many years prior. Now they had plans to use it for an automated flying taxi, and, ironically, they called Joe to help. It was his chance to sabotage it all. The Bureau modified his Banane airtaxi with a data-gathering unit. All he had to do was to work normally as the device did its thing, flashing its odd lights as it processed data to feed the A. I. later. But he deviated from his usual course and overflew the restricted airspace of Mount Tunturin Airbase. Two Mb-63 Brawlers were scrambled to intercept (as Joe planned). The old ace maneuvered his Banane with grace, avoiding rockets with ease as he flew in between the peaks of the Tunturin—a maneuver the Brawler pilots couldn't follow. They ejected right before their planes crashed. The two new maneuver kills finally made Joe the greatest ace in Metalburg. The data gathered, stained with combat information, resulted in the Automato Project not working as intended. But maybe it could be useful for the Nacho UAV project, the Bureau thought. As for Joe, he was done with flying. And he was also happy that Judas, his son, had decided to become a submariner instead of a pilot. - Brought to you by the Metalburg Bureau.
