MetalburgAir Edda

The Metalburguese Navy even started handing out contracts to foreign companies instead of relying on the Bureau as they always did, and bought FB-17 Ghosts from Stino Corp. and Lu-29 Scouts from Lukki Inc. as they renewed their inventory with more cost-effective equipment in the wake of the growing recession. It was a major blow to the Bureau's ego. However, they still had plans to regain territory from the rival corporations in other ways. Since they had failed to defeat HELIOS and Stino on the racetracks, they focused on the commercial airliner market and developed the MetalburgAir Edda to compete against the Condor 208 and the Dreamliner Mk. 2. The Edda featured a spacious and cozy interior with a built-in theater, and its flying wing design gave it enough range to fly a full circle around the world at a modest speed (giving the passengers enough time to watch the full "Adventures of the Floppy Monkey" saga!). However, the Edda also failed to bring any considerable profits to Metalburg, simply because the aircraft's ridiculously wide wingspan made it incompatible with most civilian airports worldwide. Furthermore, prospective customers were turned off by its poor speed. The passengers, it turns out, believed that getting to their destinations quickly was more essential than watching Floppy Monkey.
