📋 About This Mod
a description and some files to enable yourself DLSS5 Neural rendering on this game for RTX 2000 or higher series.
here i will describe how to enable DLSS5 on RTX 2000 up to RTX 5000 gpu cards.
Be aware that low end cards of any era could struggle... a lot, but try to be sure.
(Pictures taken on my 3060 RTX laptop gpu ... on 6 fps due to the double reshade setup 32bit -> 64 bit1440p so not playable there. But my 5090 has no problems at 4k so... if you are somwhere in between try it.)
I will/can not upload nvidia files directly to Nexus as it violates:
- Nexusmods base rules for DLSS dll files
- Copyright Nvidia
- mods that do so get deleted from time to time from nexus
Instead i will show you how it works.
YOU NEED SOME FILES FIRST:
1) The file in my downloads
It already contains a double 64 -> 32 bit reshade setup... lot of errors can heappen so you better just use mine.
2) DLSS5 Files download:
Join the discord channel:
https://discord.com/invite/renodx
there is a lot of stuff but you just go to the topic:
dlss5-downloads
there you download:
- latest streamline archive f.e.: DLSS310. 8. 0-Streamline2. 13.zip
- latest renodx-dlss5.addon64
- OPTIONAL Patched DLSS-NR for RTX20, RTX30, and RTX40: nvngx_dlssnr.dll
(if you are on that cards, nothing is needed for 5000 owners instead)
INSTALLATION:
1) unzip my Tomb Raider. 7z directly to your steam directrory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tomb Raider
2) copy and overwrite if prompted the content of DLSS310. 8. 0-Streamline2. 13.zip (or later) again directly to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tomb Raider
OPTIONAL for non RTX 5000 owners overwrite with the patched nvngx_dlssnr.dll
3) copy nvngx_dlss.dll and nvngx_dlssnr.dll from DLSS310. 8. 0-Streamline2. 13.zip (or later) to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tomb Raider\host64
OPTIONAL for non RTX 5000 owners overwrite with the patched nvngx_dlssnr.dll
4) copy renodx-dlss5.addon64 to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tomb Raider\host64
Start the game with no Antialisaing active best.
Now it gets tricky. After you come to the menu, you wil see an additional program started in the background.
You now have 2 Reshades running.
A 32 Bit in your Game Window (the one in the main game folder),
it only passes data through to your second program window (the one run under /host64 folder):
DLSS5 Feed Host
where you finally run the 64Bit DLSS5 Rershade and eventually ohter things. In my setup nothing but DLSS5 will be there!
In This window, not in your game window, you can now configure DLSS5 Neural rendering as always!
With F6 you can toggle on og the DLSS5.
With POS1 you can show the reshade menu.
I normally use natural lightning and cranck up all optiones to 2 while controlling the overall "effect" through:
overall intensity, i set it to 1. 42 in this case.
You still can play with the values.
On SOTTR ""Generic" lightnig is eventually better while i still like natural... choose for yourself.
Thats it......
COMPATIBILITY:
- i would NOT use AO injected via reshade any more. It is heavy, has problems, with fog and UI and DLSS5 does it way better most of the time.
Higher quality source image will result in a higher quality DLSS5 neural renderin output too.
