The NPC Portraits Mod (DEPRECATED)

Welcome to the Portraits Mod! a VFX/UI mod that WAS aimed at giving Terraria's Vanilla and Modded NPC's an exciting new look. update: 1. 4. 5 has now added Official Portraiture, and more importantly, WORKING PORTRAIT CODE. Looks like Re-Logic is forcing me out of retirement. At the bare minimum, I'm going to try and convert this into a resource pack for it shortly after it goes live. But more importantly, I will get to work on Shimmer Portraits. For those in the know, I uploaded the mod right at the end of Terraria 1. 3's life. the 1. 4 update not only saw TML get ported to steam, but it also added the shimmer. The port to steam changed all of the hooks my mod relied on and broke the code, I could have fixed that. The SHIMMER however, effectively doubled ALL of the work that was necessary for the mod to be complete. I ended up checking out of Terraria modding completely because of it, for all of you wondering why the mod was never updated. That was why. I have since moved on to focus on other projects and consider myself more of an artist now. Now that Re-Logic themselves have gone and done fixed the first part for me. I am now Socially obliged to finish the second. When the update drops I will begin the process of creating a resource pack out of my characters, AND work towards creating the shimmer variants along with them. IF for some reason Relogic doesn't have shimmer portraits I might consider figuring out how to Mod that in. That is all P.
